[CLD-V5000] Need OWNERS manual

Post by glimmie »

I need the owners manual for the CLD-V5000. Owners manual, the one that comes with it new that every owner gets.

The archive here has the service manual and the computer control protocol manual.

That's great but I need an owners manual.

How do I turn the video noise reduction on and off? The schematic shows a control line from the internal player CPU but how is it switched?

How is CX audio noise reduction handled? Can I manually turn that on and off?

How do I select digital track or analog track audio playback? (assuming the disk has digital audio)

Plus other routine operations.

Thanks

Re: Need OWNERS manual for CLD-V5000

You need a remote more than you need a manual. This player operates nearly the same as every other Pioneer.

Likely there no way for a user to turn off video noise reduction, if this player even has it. Video purity was not the focus of Industrial players.

There is no logical reason to ever turn CX off so it’s not possible. The only purpose of the CX button is to manually turn CX on for discs that don’t have the flag to do this automatically. There aren’t a lot of discs like that so the button is basically useless. Analog soundtracks in general aren’t very useful of the disc has Digital Sound which most do so CX isn’t very useful most of the time either.

Switching between Digital and analog sound is done with the remote. Most players don’t have that button on them. The player will default to the Digital soundtrack if it has one.
All about LD care, inner sleeves, shrink wrap, etc.

Remote control model is CU-V151

You can use the owner’s manual for a CLD-D504 which is similar.

As for a noise reduction feature, the 5000 doesn’t appear to offer such a feature as that was more prevalent on a player with field memory like a CLD-D604 / CLD-59.
